1. About these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and Hoop Experts ("we", "us") about the Hoop Experts app and this website (together, "the service"). Our privacy policy explains how we handle personal data. If you download the app from the App Store or Google Play, their terms also apply to the download.
2. Who can play
You must be at least 13 to use Hoop Experts. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you need a parent's or guardian's permission, and they accept these terms for you.
3. Your account
- You can play as a guest against the bot. To play other people you sign in with Google or Apple.
- Keep access to your Google or Apple account safe; anyone who can use it can use your Hoop Experts account.
- One account per person. Don't share, sell or transfer accounts.
- You can delete your account at any time in Settings. See Delete your account.
4. Usernames and display names
Other players see your username and display name. They must not:
- be offensive, hateful, sexual or threatening;
- pretend to be someone else, including real players, coaches, teams or us;
- contain personal information about others, advertising or links.
We may change or remove a name that breaks these rules.
5. Fair play
Hoop Experts is a contest between people. You agree not to:
- use bots, scripts or other automated tools to play or answer;
- lose on purpose, play against your own second account, or arrange results with others to change ratings;
- exploit bugs, interfere with the service, or try to reach systems or data you are not meant to;
- copy, scrape or republish our questions.
We may reset ratings, remove results or suspend accounts involved in cheating.
6. Questions and answers
Our questions are researched, checked against sources and reviewed before they are used. Even so, some may contain mistakes, and some answers change over time. Matches are scored by the answers stored when the question was played. If you think an answer is wrong, tell us at support@hoopexperts.com; we may fix or remove the question, but we don't change past results.
7. Our content and names we mention
The app, its questions, design, logo and the name Hoop Experts belong to us. You may use them only to play. Hoop Experts is an independent fan game. It is not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by the NBA, EuroLeague Basketball, FIBA or any team, league or player. Their names belong to their owners and are used only to say what a question is about.
8. Changes to the service
Hoop Experts is free. We keep improving it, so features, questions and rules (including scoring) may change. We may also pause or stop the service. If we stop it for good, we'll tell you in the app in advance where we can.
9. Suspension and ending
You can stop using Hoop Experts and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that seriously or repeatedly break these terms, or where the law requires it. Where reasonable, we'll tell you why and give you a chance to respond.
10. Liability
We provide Hoop Experts as it is and as available, and we can't promise it will always be available or free of errors. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, or for losses caused by events outside our reasonable control.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or your rights as a consumer under the law of the country where you live.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top, and tell you in the app before important changes take effect. If you keep playing after that, the new terms apply; if you don't agree, you can delete your account.
12. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of Greece. If you are a consumer in the EU, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you can bring a claim in your local courts. Before anything formal, please write to us: most problems are quicker to solve by email.
